Rarely Seen Book Publication by National Geographic
I've been reading the National Geographic books and magazines ever since I started learning photography. I've always found them to be a great source of inspiration. Their mission statement "Using the power of science, exploration and storytelling to change the world" really resonates with me as a photographer. One of my dream was to get one of my photograph published by National Geographic.
And that dream finally came true.
National Geographic decided to publish my "Orangutan in The Rain" photograph in their "Rarely Seen: Photograph of The Extraordinary" book!
Everything went so smoothly in the licensing process. They sent me a copy of the book, along with a very thoughtful congratulations letter from the Editor.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the National Geographic Books team for making my dream come true. I felt very privileged to see my photograph published alongside other world class photographers.
The book is available to purchase at many bookstores, online and offline. Here's the book description from the publisher.
"National Geographic's dazzling photography book of visual wonders, shot by some of the world's finest photographers, reveals a world very few will have the chance to see for themselves. This New York Times bestseller features striking images of places, events, natural phenomena, and manmade heirlooms seldom seen by human eyes. It's all here: 30,000-year-old cave art sealed from the public; animals that are among the last of their species on Earth; volcanic lightning; giant crystals that have grown to more than 50 tons; the engraving inside Abraham Lincoln's pocket watch. With an introduction by National Geographic photographer Stephen Alvarez, whose work has taken him from the Peruvian Andes to the deepest caves of Papua New Guinea, Rarely Seen captures once-in-a-lifetime moments, natural wonders, and little-seen objects from the far reaches of the globe."
And below is the picture of the book cover. If you ever meet me in person and you've purchased the book, I'd be glad to give you my autograph on the page!
