Glamis
So, what's so special about this castle? This is where the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, wife of King George VI spent her childhood. Their second daughter, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was also born here.
You're free to take pictures from outside the castle but you can't do it inside as this place is still being used by the Royal families. The inside of this place was simply astonishing... too bad I can only take a picture of it using my mind's camera!
Oh well, the outside of this castle is magnificent to look at. Enjoy my favorite photos that I took here at Glamis Castle!

Glamis Castle
After 2 hours of drive from Edinburgh, this is the first scene that greeted me at Glamis Castle. Quite magnificent I must say! This castle has been used since the 14th century but the building that you see dates largely from the 17th century. The soft morning light really add some depth and dimension to this already majestic place!

Glamis Castle Driveway
This is the view that you'll see looking away from the castle. The front gate is quite far from the castle entrance and this is the only path that you'll have to take to reach the castle entrance. Imagine doing your morning run in this beautiful place!

Glamis Castle Front Door
Welcome to the Glamis Castle! You can knock on this door but nobody will open it. To enter the castle, you have to use the back entrance. Although unused, this front door and the surroundings are still very beautiful to photograph.

Glamis Castle Side Garden
Looking to the right from the entrance, you'll see this beautiful green garden. It is maintained so well that you can hardly see any flaws on the grass. Hopefully there won't be any kids playing hide and seek here and ruining the greens.

Artistic Door at Glamis Castle
I spotted this slim, artistic door on the back of the castle. I loved how they arranged the four swords and the black dots. It is very classic and medieval.

Chilling Out with Highland Cattle
Now this is a scene that I didn't expect to see at Glamis Castle! I spotted several highland cattles chilling out under the morning sun near the parking lot. I immediately took a few shots of this funny creatures and this one is my favorite.
